That'saNatzler
Beautiful Natzler piece at the Los Angeles Pottery Show today-6.5K out of reach. What I like about these kind of events is how generous vendors are with information, you learn a lot in a few hours-some familiar faces from the early morning flea shifts selling their finds too.
Event details here (today-Sun 24th is the last day).
*Thanks to Chris at Grain for the tip off.

The Point
Find a jar lid or tin about 75mm in diameter. Place it on the nose of the surfboard, on the deck. Draw a line around the front and cut off what sticks out the front. Round it off and put fibreglass over it. In collisions this will dissipate the energy of the impact over a much larger area, greatly reducing the chance of severe or critical injury. The board will surf better because you have reduced the swing weight and wind resistance. It is shorter, turns quicker, and pulls off moves you couldn't do before.

I just re-found this in my itunes in the endless Young column- thanks as usual to Papa Jon for this. Basically an early version of the Tonight's The Night album from an acetate cut (different running order) with a few extra tracks that eventually ended up on other records. Download link here (I'm talking to you Hermann).
