Whilst R4TH surely follows my swinging obsessions/collections I think the recent Navajo finds constitute more than a trend. The objects themselves are a direct physical link back to Native American culture and the changing (necessarily adaptive) nature of Navajo weaving-the study of which (in my experience) runs parallel with a closer mapping/understanding of Navajo history.
Yes. To clarify, what i have witnessed in the last few years is the adaptation of native american craft into a younger breed of design work - perhaps not always referencing or appreciating it's source.
