Navajo blanket circa 1920's-30's, storm pattern/variation- lighter weave, homespun dyed wool judging by the variation in tone over color blocked areas. There is an attractive wonkiness-speed evident in how this piece has been woven with a design/construction trail easily followed. Some unravelling of the selvedge edge but otherwise in great condition-found at the Rose Bowl this weekend.

a beauty. ready 4 the wall? or floor?
*need to explore some non fibre stressing wall hanging hardware-too precious for the floor-currently draped on the Mogensen highback.
**you get a real sense of how these things were conceived/crafted on the vertical loom frames when they are up on the wall.
